Cream onions

  • Onion: 400 gr
  • Gruyere cheese: 80 gr
  • Butter: 80 gr
  • Flour: 20 gr
  • Homemade bread: 8 slices
  • Broth: 1 lt
  • Salt: taste.
  • Pepper: taste.


Cut the onion into thin rings, and put them in a saucepan. Joined by some 50 gr of butter, seasoning with salt and pepper. Let it cook over very low heat, adding a tablespoon of juice, once in a while. Let undo the onion completely. Then joins the flour and stir well, for not form lumps. Passes-if the preparation, becomes the place in casserole, diluting juice left and leading to the boil, simmer, approximately 20 minutes.

Strip-if the code slices of bread, gilding in the remaining butter. Feature-if the slices on a serving platter that can go in the oven, and serve with grated cheese. Trick-if the cream on the slices of bread, leading the preparation of the hard grating, a short time in hot oven.
