Pie with walnuts and pistachios

  • Flour: 1 and 1/4 cup
  • Butter: 90 g
  • Sugar 2 teaspoons
  • Gem: 1
  • Cold water: 2 tablespoons

  • Brown sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Walnuts, chopped coarsely: 1 cup
  • Pistachios chopped coarsely: 1/2 cup
  • Melted butter: 20 g

Mix the flour, sugar and butter. Beat up the dough esfarelada. Join the gem and a bit of cold water, stirring more until you get a consistent mix. Wrap in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator durnate 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 200 c and grease a form of pie. Roll out dough on the way, cover with parchment paper and throw some dried beans on top.

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove the paper and the beans and let the dough in the oven a few more time, until golden. Reduce the temperature to 180 for your dates and book.


Mix the eggs with the sugar and the butter. Fold in the nuts and chopped pistachios and pour in the dough. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes. When you are cold, unmold and serve with a harvest of whipped cream. It is also ice-cream.
