  • For the cake
  • Large egg: 4
  • Sugar: 200 gr
  • Sifted flour: 100 gr
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons
  • Margarine: taste.
  • For the syrup
  • Sugar: 125 gr
  • Water: 2.5 dl
  • Port wine: 1 cup (if you prefer you can use brandy, whisky or rum)


Chat for a few minutes the egg yolks with 150 g of sugar, (reserves the 50 gr to join ace clear), then add the lemon juice and continue beating until well increase of the volume. The chat if the egg whites firm, adding to them already at the end of the 50 gr of sugar remaining continue to beat until well firm. Mix half of the clear shall mix yolks, then joins the flour with the baking powder, and finally the remaining clear moves carefully, but that it may be well connected. Unta-a hole with margarine, sprinkles with flour and pour into the prepared. It takes the bake in the oven to 170 for 30 to 40 minutes. Check with a toothpick if it is cooked. When ready, remove and allow to cool down a bit in the way. In the meantime prepare the syrup: Joins the sugar with the water and take it to the heat leaving boil for 3 minutes precise moderate heat, remove from the heat and joins the drink chosen. With the cake is still warm, watering the whole, for the same with this hot syrup, well spread out, let it cool in the refrigerator, after desenforma and serves.
