Bread with Raisins and Rum

  • Milk:
  • Egg: 1
  • Margarine: 100 g
  • Brown sugar: 2 Tablespoons
  • Raisins: 75 g
  • Rum: 2 Tablespoons
  • Flour: 500 g
  • Salt: 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Baker's yeast: 12 g


Put the raisins in a bowl and sprinkle with the rum.

Leave to macerate for 1 hour (or more, because most of the time macerate, the better).

Pour in the beaten egg into a measuring cup and fill it with warm milk up to 300 ml. Pour this mixture into the bowl.

Add margarine, sugar, and rum, which was the macerate the raisins).

Finally, add the flour (if you do not use flour prepared do not forget to add a bit of salt and baker's yeast).

Select the program Bread Basic, weight 750g and medium color.

When the machine beep to ask for extra ingredients, and add the raisins.

Leave to pursue the programme.

When the program is finished, remove the bread and let cool on a network, not to be with moisture.
